THE IDEA
Tatar urban culture
Peçän bazarı takes place on the Kaban Lake embankment in Kazan’s Old Tatar Quarter, bringing together designers, artists, musicians, food creators and visitors who care about Tatar culture.
The first festival took place in 2013. Each season has its own theme, using fashion, everyday objects, art and urban space to tell new stories about Tatar culture.

Learning and creativity
Talks, tours and workshops for children and adults.
Music and art
Concerts, film screenings, theatre and themed spaces.
Everyday culture
Food, tea traditions, everyday objects and fresh interpretations of heritage.
